Description:

PLA (PolyLactic Acid) is a biodegradable plastic, made using cornstarch or sugarcane. It is a renewable raw material which is much more ecologically friendly and safer than ABS plastics. PLA plastics are more flexible as it does not require as high temperatures to manipulate the material; therefore a head bed is not required (compared to ABS).

This glow-in-dark filament will emit light for 2-5 hours after being charged with light for 2-10 minutes. Please simply place the printed object under a light source - either natural sunlight or electric lights (natural sunlight will work best).

Best printing practices

When 3D printing, always work in a well ventilated workspace.

Our PLA Filaments are more sensitive to extreme heat when compared to ABS. Because of this, we recommend PLA printouts be outputted at a temperature range of 200-230°C and immediately cooled afterwards with a fan to ensure optimal results.
PLA plastics are harder, but are therefore also relatively brittle when subjected to bending forces.

Please store PLA filament away from the sun in a cool dry environment to ensure longevity as moisture can compromise print quality.
