PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polymer used for drink bottles or sailcloths. Mixed with glycol (hence the “G”) exhibits good 3D printing features. Best printing practices

  • We recommend drying the filament before use to eliminate moisture and ensure top-tier print quality—especially helpful for PETG.
  • PETG has a higher melting temperature  than PLA so we recommend setting your hot end temperature between 240 and 280°C.
  • Reduce print temperature or speed if you see stringing.
  • PETG adheres well to the printing platform, so take care when removing it after printing.
