Today we explain a little bit about what refillable printers are, some of their benefits, and give five examples of ones you can purchase in Australia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are refillable printers?<\/b><\/h2>\n

To put it simple, a refillable printer is one that has an ink tank that can be refilled with ink. These machines are sometimes referred to as continuous ink tank printers or simply a continuous ink printer. These printers do not require a new ink cartridge when they run out of ink, you simply refill the ink in the existing ink tank. This can simplify the ink changing process and also cut down on plastic waste \u2013 win-win! As you might have guessed, there are quite a few benefits of refillable printers.<\/span><\/p>\n

One big benefit of refillable printers is that they are easy to use. If you\u2019re someone who struggles with the process of replacing your printer\u2019s ink cartridge when it runs out of ink, then investing in a continuous ink tank machine could save you lots of hassle and stress. With refillable printers, you simply refill the printer\u2019s ink tank using a bottle of ink (and following the instructions in your printer\u2019s manual).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Refillable printers can be a good way to save money with printing. Over time, with a continuous ink tank printer, you will generally save more money than with an ink cartridge printer. Brother INKvestment MFC-J5845DW<\/b><\/h3>\n

The MFC-J5845DW can print pages up to A3 size and scan pages up to A4 size. This printer can be used either for home or in a small business setting and comes with up to 2 years of ink when purchased. The MFC-J5845DW can print monochrome pages at speeds of up to 22 ppm and colour pages at speeds of up to 20 ppm. It also has automatic two-sided printing. As of December 2020, this printer retails for around $594. The <\/span>Brother MFC-J5845DW<\/span><\/a> uses the <\/span>Brother LC-3337 ink<\/span><\/a>, available at Ink Station.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also has an A4 flatbed scanner, built-in Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth LE, and USB port. As of December 2020, this printer retails for $499.
