A classic for anyone who used Microsoft Word in the 90s and early-00s. Times New Roman is an ink saving font for those after an old skool vibe! This text is easy to read and can be a good text to use for those after a simple, ink saving solution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Garamond<\/b><\/h3>\n

14-year-old Suvir Michandani once made a pretty bold <\/span>claim<\/span><\/a>. He hypothesised that the US government could save $136 million by choosing a typeface that used a smaller amount of ink, finding the most economical to be Garamond. Whether or not this claim is true is up for debate, but many studies have proven Garamond font to be one of the best when it comes to saving on ink.<\/span><\/p>\n

Calibri<\/b><\/h3>\n

The default font for Microsoft Word in the current era, Calibri is a typeface that is pretty good for those looking to conserve the amount of ink they use. Chances are you could be typing and printing using Calibri, anyway, so you may be saving on ink costs without even realising it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Ecofont<\/b><\/h3>\n

As the name suggests, Ecofont is an \u201ceco font\u201d option. This font does not come as standard with Microsoft Word, and those who wish to use it must instead download it from the company\u2019s <\/span>website<\/span><\/a>. The font was developed by Netherlands company SPRANQ with the intention of reducing ink consumption for printing purposes. This is done by converting text into an \u201cink saving equivalent\u201d with small \u2018holes\u2019 in each character, resulting in fewer pixels. This, in turn, results in less ink used to create the prints.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
